At WYB, many of the umpires that are officiating these games are teenagers for the lower leagues, and depending on the age group, there could be umpires who are as young as 12 years old. WYB strongly encourages communities to hire and train youth umpires to officiate younger levels of play. WYB has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for any type of yelling, arguing, or displaying any sort of antagonistic or hostile behavior towards a youth umpire and or opposing teams. This includes actions from the manager, assistant coaches, players, or any family members in attendance. The result of a judgment call or rule enforcement is not relevant as to how a youth umpire should be treated. Ultimately, the responsibility to keep the entire team in check comes from the head coach. If at any point any such negative behavior is aimed in the direction of a youth umpire or opposing teams, WYB Board strongly encourages the umpire NOT to engage, and instead, they should stop the game and leave the field immediately. This incident should be reported to the WYB Board. WYB will investigate the situation and issue a ruling, which could result in a manager, team, or any in attendance being banned from any further participation in the WYB for the remainder of the season, or future seasons. WYB is here to encourage our kids on the field and off the field.

The Waukegan Park District requires all participants outside of Waukegan to pay an Out of District Fee of $15 payable at the time of registration.$35 return check fee. Fees: All Leagues are listed below with a late fee of $35. WYB follows the Little League Age guidelines to ensure all of our kids play at the levels they are allotted to. I, the parent/Guardian, hereby give consent to the above applicant for his/her
participation in any & all WYB activities.In an emergency, if I cannot be reached, I here-
by authorize the Waukegan Youth Baseball Association, its managing personnel,or lea-
gue appointed representative to obtain medical care for my child from any licensed phy-
sician, hospital, medical care facility or emergency medical personnel(i.e.EMT, 1st Re-
sponder, & ER Physician). I assume all risks/hazards incidental to such participation in-
cluding transportation to league activities, & do hereby waive/release/absolve/indemnify
& agree to hold harmless Waukegan Youth Baseball Association, Waukegan Park Dis-
trict, Waukegan School District 60, its Member Leagues, representatives, organizers,
sponsors, participants & persons transporting the player to/from league activities from
any claim arising out of an injury to the player named above. I understand I am ultimate-
ly responsible for my player’s safety.
