At WYB, we strive to provide the very best baseball experience in the Waukegan community. Our league welcomes kids of all backgrounds and ability levels, bringing together young athletes from Waukegan and neighboring communities. We are dedicated to forming balanced teams, nurturing baseball skills through positive coaching, encouraging new friendships, and—most importantly—making baseball fun for everyone.

 

Opportunities are available for players from Kindergarten through High School, with divisions tailored to each age group. To enhance the experience, we organize league championship tournaments, All-Star games, and post-season events. WYB games take place on premier fields throughout the city, including Victory Park, Ben Diamond Park, Bevier Park, Dugdale Park, Corrine Rose (Belvidere Park), Waukegan Sports Park, and Bowen Park. All facilities are courtesy of the award-winning Waukegan Park District, ensuring a top-notch environment at an affordable price—making WYB an unbeatable value in youth sports.

 

Waukegan Youth Baseball thrives due to the dedication of our volunteers, most of whom are parents or passionate community members. As a nonprofit, we are deeply committed to both baseball and our beautiful city. All of our coaches undergo background checks, where every effort is made to ensure that each child has a safe, supportive, and rewarding experience while developing a lifelong love for the game of baseball

 

Waukegan Yoth Baseball truly depends on the involvement of parents. WYB is not just a program for players, parents/guardians and the community, we are collaborative project built, supervised, and sustained by caring adults who want to create lasting memories for their kids. 

 

WYB Age Divisions:

• 6-8U Finch: Ages 6-8 or Kindergarten to 2nd Grade

• 9-10U Sparrow: Ages 9-10 or 3rd and 4th Grade

• 11-12U Falcon: Ages 11-12 or 5th and 6th Grade

• 13-14U Raven: Ages 13-14 or 7th and 8th Grade

• 15-16U Eagle: HS Freshmen & Sophomores

• 17-18U Albatross: HS Juniors & Seniors

• Men’s League Condor: Ages 18-40
